Getting to know each other
We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at Valley View a great one!
Valley View meets every weekend on Sundays at 800 Davis Drive in Newmarket.
Pre-Service Prayer: Sundays at 8:45am
Worship Service: Sundays at 10:00am
We as a church are learning how to not just be a church that prays but a church of prayer. The difference is becoming exponentially greater in how we live out our day to day lives for Christ and how we are able to serve the community around us. We are desiring to seek God in our quiet space daily and learning to hear his voice clearly as he speaks to us. Join us on this journey every Sunday morning as we gather and seek God in prayer together. All are welcome to come, sit, soak and participate.
What's the culture like at Valley View?
Sunday's at Valley View are exciting, casual, and relaxed. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest.
What can I expect?
When you show up
We want to make everyone in our community feel welcome here at Valley View. Our facility is almost completely wheelchair accessible and we offer ASL translation during our Sunday morning service.
A common issue with our building is that our office area is facing Davis, not our main entrance. When you come, be sure to drive around the corner in the parking lot towards Kawartha Dairy, there you will see our front doors greeters, signs and parking helpers. There are main entrances there and around the back of our building they will help you find!
How long is a Valley View service?
In total, a Valley View service is about 90 minutes in length. We start off our service with a couple announcements to fill you in on the VVAC community, then we move into a time of worship and praise led by one of our contemporary worship bands. We sing three or four songs together as a church before we transition to the teaching portion of the service. A member of our teaching team will come out to share from Scripture what God is leading us to as a church family. Our service ends with one or two songs followed by benediction from one of our pastors.
What about my kids?
We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week - and at Valley View, we make this a priority. The other thing we make a priority is your children’s safety. Because of that, we have a detailed check-in process through ‘Kid Check’ for our Valley View program. The first time that you visit you’ll want to leave yourself an extra ten minutes to get signed in for the Valley View “Kids Quest” experience. Children’s ministry is offered at every Valley View service for kids ages infant through Grade 5. Students in Grade 6-8 can join us in the sanctuary for the first portion of our service and will be dismissed during our sermon time to go to “Crossroads” for their bible study.
