"Promote individual and corporate prayer, allowing the Holy Spirit to permeate our lives." We as a church are learning how to not just be a church that prays but a church of prayer. The difference is becoming exponentially greater in how we live out our day to day lives for Christ and how we are able to serve the community around us. We are desiring to seek God in our quiet space daily and learning to hear his voice clearly as he speaks to us. Relationship only happens when communication is going both ways. Therefore, we seek to talk at God less and listen to Him more. Join us on this journey every Sunday morning from 8:45am-9:30am as we gather and seek God in prayer together. All are welcome to come, sit, soak and participate. If you would like to talk with us more about prayer, please visit our contact page.
For the littlest members of our church family, we have a fully staffed nursery program for infants who are still crawling (birth - 1 year old). Our toddler room is for children 1-2 years old. We make sure your little ones are cared for and loved while you attend the Sunday morning service.
| Pre-School |
Our Pre-School is for children ages 2-4 and runs alongside the Sunday morning service. Children engage in age appropriate games and learn Bible stories from Hands-On Bible. With plenty of games, crafts, and toys, your kids will have a blast in Pre-School!
|Kids Quest (Gr.1-5)|
For children JK- Grade 5, Kids Quest is an exciting Sunday morning program that encourages Biblical literacy, prayer, and worship. With media-based, age appropriate curriculum we walk your children through the entire Bible in a three-year cycle. Each summer they engage in a missions-based curriculum that takes them all over the world, learning about missionaries!
Amplify Youth Ministry (Gr. 6-12)
This is our weekly Jr High (gr 6-8) Bible Study class that meets Sunday mornings, partway through the service. We meet in the Loft, above the kitchen after joining the congregation in worship and praise.
Our Amplify Student Ministries encompasses our Youth Friday Nights, Missions trips, Retreats, Camps and Service Projects.
Youth Friday Nights
Our Jr High (gr 6-8) and Sr High (gr 9-12) meet weekly from 7-9pm (Jr High) and 7-9:30pm (Sr High) for community, mentoring, games, worship, large group teaching and small group Bible study (our Sr High small groups often go until 10pm.)
We hold a monthly potluck to develop student community and generosity. We also love participation by looking for opportunities for students to discover and develop their spiritual gifts and calling so that we are both learning and growing as the body of Christ in practical ways.
Youth Missions Trips & Service Projects
We are passionate about engaging students in opportunities to serve beyond ourselves. This involves annual provincial or international Missions Trips, as well as local and regional service projects several times a year. We are currently reorganizing our commitments, and have not established a missions teams for 2017.
Annual service projects include Oct 31 Trick or Feed canned food drive, Christmas season Street Outreach in Toronto, joining a Community Dinner team at Valley View.
Youth Retreats & Camps
Weekends away are amazing places to establish or grow our relationships as a student community, bond with peers and mentors, learn and grow in our relationship with God, and find healing and discovering more about ourselves. Students will also have opportunities to take leadership roles at these weekends.
Every year Jr & Sr High students are invited to join us separately for Fall & Winter Retreats hosted by the Central and Eastern District Youth Networks of the Christian & Missionary Alliance, and the AMPLIFY YOUTH Spring Campouts.
Students can be capable leaders. We read this in the stories of the Bible, and see it when we watch a group of students... it is clear that there are leaders and influencers in every group.
We love to see students to step up to lead their peers. Students who demonstrate a firm faith in Christ, leadership gifts, availability and teachability are invited to practice and grow in this on a student ministry team.

We gather in the Youth Room on Tuesday nights from 7:30-9pm for Worship and conversational Bible Study. As a new group, VVAC YA is establishing new patterns of community and spiritual growth and is planning for regular events and service projects this Fall.

As a church, our objective is to provide a worship environment where people experience the supernatural presence of God with awe (as stated on our beliefs page). Our hope is that through our diverse volunteer Worship Leaders we will be leading to open hearts and ready minds for a transformed life by our Heavenly Father. We desire to see people worship as it will be in Heaven(Rev5:13), as one, singing to God our praises! We seek to do this by not singing particular genres or styles, but being relevant to the now and today, worshiping not to any era of worship music but what the Holy Spirit leads. We love that our Worship Leaders are a diverse group who seek God diligently in their leading and lives. You will experience Hymns to Chris Thomlin, Bethel to Aaron Keyes and various other worship leaders and churches as well as some of our own in house written worship songs. We have a full contemporary worship band and we love to worship together loudly and with excitement! for more information on worship, email our Worship Pastor, Justin James
In a growing church, sometimes it is hard to feel connected. Our connecting place for studying God's word and doing life together is in our small groups. Groups meet usually in homes, most often weekly and are always open to inviting new people in. Some groups are geographically based and others are affinity based, all groups include living(fellowship), loving(care) and learning(study) together. For more information on our small groups, email our main office.
We have a wonderful team of people who greet, meet, seat and serve our guests on Sunday mornings. It takes many volunteers to create a warm welcoming environment, so if you like meeting people, there is always room for you to serve in front door ministries. These ministries include: greeting, ushering, hospitality and information. To find out more about these ministries, volunteer or connect with our ministry leaders, email our main office.
We all know that life in our region isn't getting any easier. We host a Community Dinner every Sunday evening between 4pm and 6pm. Anyone is welcome! If you would like to join a serving team, email the church office and we will get you connected.
The Gospel of Jesus teaches us that faith without works is a dying faith. At Valley View we believe in not re-creating the wheel when it comes to serving our greater community. As a result, our elders select specific community support services that we believe Jesus would want us to be a part of. We support them in prayer, volunteers and financially. Currently our Strategic Alliance Partners include; The Shop, The Newmarket Food Pantry, The Life Centre, Inn From the Cold and u-r home. We believe these are all agencies doing good work and are worth investing in. For more information on the agencies, click their title or graphic.
Our men connect and support one another in two ways; at our monthly breakfasts on the forth Saturday of the month from September through to April and our weekly men's prayer fellowship Wednesday's at 8am, here at Valley View. In addition weekend retreats occur from time to time. For more information email our office.
