About Us

We are a local arts school that aims to serve the community by offering music lessons, summer camps, and after-school programs. Our heart is to see lives changed as they engage in the arts in a Christian environment. We are a branch of Valley View Alliance Church and welcome all to explore and grow the talents God has given them.

Summer Camp!

Camp will run this summer from July 17th-July 21st, 2017. Sr. Arts Camp is for children aged 8-14 and runs from 9:00am to 4:30pm. Your child will take part in band sessions, drama classes, arts & crafts (including comic book art!), play games, and meet new friends. Cost for the week is $100 which includes materials, instrument rentals and snacks. Parents are welcome to join us on Friday July 21st for a barbecue! After-School Program

Launching in September 2017, our after-school program will immerse students in arts-based learning for 2 hours after school. Students will be given a nutritious snack, play team-building games, and take part in either music instruction, art class, drama, or media arts. Your children don’t require any previous experience in music or the arts, just a willingness to learn!

Our main goal is to provide families who struggle to afford after-school care the ability to put their children in a program that encourages their growth in the arts. We want to partner with parents, giving them all they could possibly need to help their children succeed.

This program will run Monday-Friday until 5:30pm. Students will be admitted to this program on the condition that they attend every day, with a few exceptions for absence, illness, etc. This after school program is free so registration is taken on a first-come, first-served basis or according to need at the Director’s discretion.

Our teachers are all required to undergo training through Plan to Protect® . Our facility is outfitted with multiple doors and windows into each classroom for the safety and security of your children. Our staff are also required to obtain Vulnerable Sector Police Checks from the York Regional Police. They are vetted and interviewed by our Director, who is employed and accountable to the Senior Pastor at Valley View Alliance Church.

Parents are encouraged to tour our facility and accompany students on their first day of lessons.

The Valley View School of the Arts is a ministry of Valley View Alliance Church. We are funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation. If you would like to partner with us, please contact Lena Mortley.
