"Promote individual and corporate prayer, allowing the Holy Spirit to permeate our lives."

We as a church are learning how to not just be a church that prays but a church of prayer. The difference is becoming exponentially greater in how we live out our day to day lives for Christ and how we are able to serve the community around us. We are desiring to seek God in our quiet space daily and learning to hear his voice clearly as he speaks to us. Relationship only happens when communication is going both ways. Therefore, we seek to talk at God less and listen to Him more. Join us on this journey every Sunday morning from 8:45am-9:30am as we gather and seek God in prayer together. All are welcome to come, sit, soak and participate. If you would like to talk with us more about prayer, please visit our contact page.

Tips for your prayers: This list represents our request to God, but we have to remember that prayer is a conversation with more than one side. If you are new to praying or if you would just like some advice on how to pray, here at Valley View we recommend using the acronym P.R.A.Y.

P - Praise. Give thanks to God for who he is and what he has done. “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.” Psalm 100:4

R - Repent. Take time before God to search your heart and repent of anything that has come between you and Him. “Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults. Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, and I shall be innocent of great transgression.” Psalm 19:12-13

A - Ask. Lift your requests to the Lord.“Abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you” John 15:7

Y - Yield. Take time to be quiet and yield your heart to God. Wait, listen and seek to hear from God. “Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.” Psalm 143:8
